As heavy rains fell on the Cayman Islands, several flights were delayed, diverted or cancelled.
A British Airways flights, scheduled to arrive at 3:55 p.m. Monday, was diverted to Nassau, Bahamas, where passengers were expected to remain at least overnight.
A United Airlines flight, scheduled to arrive at 3:25 p.m., was diverted to Montego Bay, Jamaica. The flight reportedly landed in Grand Cayman at 8 p.m.
Two outgoing flights were cancelled – a 4:20 p.m. United Airlines flight to Houston and a 6:40 p.m. British Airways flight to London via Nassau.
