Following a week of international sailing clinics, with eight coaches and more than 35 sailors from Cayman, the U.K., U.S. Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, and Antigua, the Cayman Islands Sailing Club hosted the AIMA Youth Regatta for both Optimist and Laser classes on Oct. 28 on the North Sound.

Matheo Capasso won four of the five races to take the national title for the third year in a row. Jaspar Nielsen won the first of the five races and finished second overall.

  1. If there were two classes Laser and Optimist one would assume there would be two sets of results. The comment on results is confusing in it’s brevity to say the least – one would have expected to see the first three in each class listed and their nationality.
