Hedge Funds Care Gala: ‘Vintage Circus’

On Nov. 16, the business community of the Cayman Islands will gather at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman to enjoy an evening of networking and glamour with purpose at the annual Hedge Funds Care Cayman Benefit.

The benefit has become a permanent fixture on the financial services industry calendar in Cayman and is a “must attend” social event. The primary purpose of the gala is to raise as much money as possible to fund programs which aid in the prevention and treatment of child abuse in the Cayman Islands.

Under the Big Top

The theme of the benefit changes every year, providing guests with ample opportunity to dress to the nines. The theme this year is “Vintage Circus,” which calls for corseted or shirtwaist dresses, pearls, classic oxfords, suspenders and top hats. Those guests who prefer more traditional dress are welcome to wear black-tie on the night.

On arrival at The Ritz-Carlton, guests will be ushered into the Big Top and treated to a drinks reception while perusing the many coveted items in the silent auction. The latest smart phones (iPhone XS Max and Series 4 Apple Watch), unique sports and pop culture memorabilia, elegant trinkets and VIP tickets to KAABOO are just a sample of the items available. Later, guests will enjoy a delectable three-course menu while being entertained by the hosts and auctioneer.

Live Auction

The live auction items available this year are bound to cause a stir, with two Audis from Arch Automotive up for grabs, along with stunning jewelry and timepieces, including Chopard from Kirk Freeport.

Should you have a touch of wanderlust, bid on a luxury break at a breathtaking international destination or stay closer to home with an exciting three-night stay in the Presidential Suite at The Ritz-Carlton, which includes lavish spa treatments and dinner for two at Seven. For the connoisseurs and collectors, the auction will include vibrant pieces of artwork from Avril Ward and Yonier Powery and much, much more …. All will be revealed on the night!

Former Governor Helen Kilpatrick, Cindy Hislop and Olivia Connolly are flanked by two characters dressed in costume for last year’s Oriental theme.
