An injured parrot was rescued near Vigoro Nursery on Tuesday. The bird was spotted close to the garden centre after apparently hitting something and falling to the ground. The National Trust for the Cayman Islands said the family who found the parrot brought the bird to them and it was transferred to the Department of Environment, where it recovered overnight. The parrot was released Wednesday to rejoin its mate.
