Out of the Kitchen (and into the ballroom)

Wednesday evening saw the return of the Out of the Kitchen event, which was last held in 2017. Hosted by The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman and the Cayman Culinary Society, it recognised excellence in the local culinary industry while raising money for charitable causes.

This year, the proceeds were split between The Ritz-Carlton’s Culinary Scholarship, the Cayman Culinary Society and the World Central Kitchen organisation, led by chef José Andrés, which has been assisting those in need in the Bahamas.

The evening featured chef stations from numerous restaurants, a live auction and the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Alma McKenzie.
