Well-known US pastor TD Jakes prayed at the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday morning before the beginning of the budget debate.
Jakes is hosting a Christian cruise of the Caribbean, attended by 1,800 people.
Premier Alden McLaughlin told legislators that the pastor had agreed to “pay a courtesy call to the parliament this morning and we are overwhelmed at the gesture”.
