Man stabbed outside West Bay Road bar

A man was stabbed at a parking lot outside the Jungle Bar on West Bay Road on Tuesday night, police said.

He remained in hospital Wednesday in serious but stable condition.

Police arrested two men, ages 41 and 42, both of West bay, on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm in relation to the stabbing.

Police said it was reported that the man had been stabbed during an altercation outside the bar and had left the scene in a private vehicle, going to an address on Peninsula Avenue in West Bay. Emergency services attended the address after responding to a call shortly after 9pm. The man was then transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The two men arrested in connection to this incident remained in custody Wednesday as investigations continue.

Police said there were several people at the location and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the stabbing or has any information to contact West Bay CID at 949-3999.
