Bodden Town man charged with aggravated burglary

Police have charged a 43-year-old Bodden Town man with aggravated burglary, in relation to an incident that took place on 3 Oct. at a home on Birchwood Road, George Town.

According to a press release from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, the man was arrested at the scene of the incident.

He is said to have been carrying weapons that had been used to assault a man, after having forcibly entered the residence.

Police stated that an ambulance transported the injured man to the Cayman Islands Hospital, where he was treated for serious, but non life-threatening injuries, and was subsequently released.

The Bodden Town man appeared in court yesterday and has been bailed to return on 27 Oct.
