Chief Medical Officer Dr. John Lee reported on Thursday that there were 28 new cases of community transmission of COVID-19 in Cayman, of which six are children.
Speaking in a video update, Lee said that since Wednesday, 874 PCR tests have been conducted in total across the islands.
The two hospitalised cases remain stable, Lee added; neither person is requiring ventilator support.
“A number of people are presenting to healthcare, whether it be to the Flu Clinic or to the general practitioners’ clinics, who turn out to have COVID-19 disease, but their symptoms are mild and are being managed in isolation at home,” Lee stated in the video message.

Lee presented no further update to the vaccination totals than he gave yesterday.
