Police have arrested a George Town man on suspicion of indecently assaulting a woman.
The man and woman, whom are known to each other, had been travelling alone in a vehicle in the early morning of Sunday 14 Nov., according to a Royal Cayman Islands Police Service statement on Monday 15 Nov.
“While travelling along South Church Street, the man pulled over, made sexual advances towards the woman and touched her indecently. However, while travelling along West Bay Road, the woman was able to get out of the vehicle and the man drove away,” reads the statement.
Police say the man, 49, was later arrested on suspicion of indecent assault and remains in custody while officers continue to investigate the matter.
