Man hospitalised after serious stabbing in George Town bar

A man is being treated in hospital for what is believed to be serious and life-threatening-injuries, following a stabbing at Everglo Bar on Seymour Drive, George Town.

According to a police press release, the man is said to be in “a stable condition”.

Just before midnight on 2 Jan., police was dispatched to a report of a stabbing that took place at Everglo Bar, where the man was said to have received several stab wounds during an altercation involving another man.

The injured man was transported to the hospital.

A 30-year-old man of George Town has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in police custody pending further investigation.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who was present and may have witnessed the incident, to call the George Town police station at 949-4222.
