Police are on the lookout for two suspects after officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a service station on Dorcy Drive in George Town.
According to a police report, shortly after 10pm, 29 March, two men arrived at the location on a motorcycle. One of the suspects entered the service station carrying a firearm and, firing a single shot upward, demanded cash. Some money was taken from a customer and the suspect fled the location on the motorcycle along with the other man.
Following the incident, a car with two occupants travelling in the vicinity of School Road was stopped by police. Refusing to comply with instructions to stop, the driver took off, according to the report.
Shortly afterwards, the car stopped and the two occupants fled on foot. Officers conducting a search of the vehicle found items that appeared to connect the car to the robbery. The vehicle is being processed forensically as investigations continue.
The suspect who entered the service station was described as wearing long blue jeans, a multi-coloured long-sleeve shirt and had his hands, head and face covered. The second male suspect was also wearing long clothing and had his head and face covered.
