Cayman’s most historic location will be the backdrop for an event showcasing the most up-to-date fashion trends on Saturday.
The new Thatch & Barrel restaurant at Pedro St. James is hosting ‘fashion under the stars’.
The event, a partnership with Lana Cayasso’s Goerge Town boutique ‘Ooh La La’, is billed as a ‘European clothing and accessories showcase’.
It will feature local models, including several former Miss Cayman winners, displaying the boutique’s designer European collections.
Luigi Moxam, who runs the venue, said the models would emerge from the theatre at Pedro Castle and walk the outdoor catwalk to Thatch & Barrel. He said the aim was to highlight and celebrate Cayman fashion icons like Ms Cayasso and Edward Solomon, who will be a special guest.
“From day one she has been one of the true icons and pioneers of the fashion industry in the Cayman Islands,” he said of Ms Cayasso.
Tickets, which cost $75, including admission, cocktails and canapés, are available from EventPro.
The preliminaries begin at 5pm and the event starts at 6pm.
