Nearly 150 swimmers took to the waters off Governor’s Beach for the annual Butterfield 800-metre Sea Swim on Saturday, 28 May. Will Sellars was the overall winner of the race, while Harper Barrowman won the female division and was second overall.
“It’s always good to feel accomplished when you come first after putting in a lot of effort,” Sellars told the Cayman Compass following his win.
Barrowman added, that she was also pleased, yet shocked by the results she produced.
“I was really surprised that I kept up with them, but hey, it all ended up well,” she said. “I was kind of at the back of the pack, and then they started going sideways, so then I ended up being able to cut in front.”
