Final day of Jubilee weekend promises parade, garden party and fireworks

The fireworks display on Monday, 6 June will feature simultaneous launches at 8pm in five separate locations from George Town harbour to West Bay Public Beach.

It has been a busy weekend of events in the Cayman Islands, celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

Concerts, food festivals, the Official Lighting of the Beacon in Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac, and services of thanksgiving have already been enthusiastically supported by the community.

Now, on Monday, 6 June, festivities will be concluding with a bang. The public is invited to the grounds of Government House for the Queen’s Birthday Parade, starting at 5pm, immediately followed by the Garden Party. Then, at 8pm, all residents are encouraged to gather along the west coast for a spectacular fireworks display.

Pyrotechnics will be launched simultaneously from barges off George Town harbour, Coral Beach, Governor’s Beach, Seven Mile Public Beach and West Bay Public Beach.

Radio Cayman 89.9FM will be providing a special, integrated listening experience from 7:55pm.
