One man was stabbed in the eye and another in the abdomen during a violent clash outside a bar in Seven Mile Shops in the early hours of Friday morning.
Police said they responded to a report of an altercation at the plaza on West Bay Road during which a man brandishing a knife stabbed the two victims shortly after 12:40am.
The man with the knife fled prior to the arrival of police.
Emergency services responded to the scene and the two injured men were transported to hospital for treatment for what appeared to be “serious and life-changing injuries”.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward as they say there were a number of people at the location at the time.
Superintendent Pete Lansdown encouraged those who may have been at the scene or have information to report it to the police.
“The only way to end this type of violence is for the public to stand up against it. When offenders know their actions will not be tolerated by the community as a whole, they will think twice about committing violent acts,” he said.
