Police have seized what they described as “a component of a firearm” after investigating a report of shots fired at an address on Eastern Avenue early Friday morning.
No suspects were detained in the incident.
In a short statement, police said that shortly after 4:30am today, officers responded to a report that were shots fired at an address on Eastern Avenue, near the intersection with Godfrey Nixon Way.
Officers recovered the component, which they said was taken to be forensically processed.
Anyone with any information or who was in the area between 4:00am and 4:40am is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
