Police have charged a 45-year-old auxiliary constable with obstructing the course of justice in relation to allegedly threatening a witness in a murder case.
The constable, who was charged on Friday, is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, 18 Oct.
He cannot be named at this stage because of a court order imposed during the murder trial of Roger Davard Bush, who was convicted last month of killing his 24-year-old son, Shaquille Bush.

The officer faces two charges – one count of doing an act to obstruct, prevent, pervert or defeat justice, and one count of breach of trust by a public officer – in relation to an incident on 17 Nov. 2019, at the Cayman Islands Police Detention Centre.
Details of that incident came to light during the murder trial, when Roger Bush’s girlfriend, Nikkieta Ebanks, told the court that the auxiliary constable had visited her in a police cell, while she was awaiting questioning, and told her not to speak to the police.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said the officer had been suspended from duty when he was arrested on 4 Sept. last year.
He has remained on police bail since then, and was discharged from the RCIPS on Friday, police said.
