Two men were arrested this week on corruption charges arising out of an Anti-Corruption Commission investigation, the details of which have not been made public.
They are suspected of committing a breach of trust, fraud on the government, false accounting and transferring criminal property (money laundering).
In a short statement Thursday afternoon, the ACC said the men, both aged 44 of Prospect and George Town, respectively, were arrested Tuesday.
Both men were released on bail pending further enquiries.
The commission said it will not provide any further comment on the matter, despite requests for information on the allegations made against the men.
