Armed suspects made off with an undisclosed sum of cash and other items after robbing a Bodden Town gas station Friday night, police have said.
In a statement Saturday evening, police said the incident happened just after 8:30pm at Mostyn’s Esso gas station on Bodden Town Road.
According to police, four men – three of whom were armed with hand guns – entered the store area of the gas station demanding cash and other items.
The four men, all of whom were dressed in dark coloured clothing, made off with a quantity of cash, liquor and cigarettes in an unknown direction.
The police helicopter was deployed to assist with locating the suspects, however they were not located after an extensive search of the area where the incident occurred.
The incident is being investigated and detectives are encouraging anyone with information to call the Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220.
