Police are asking for the public’s help to locate Malik Joseph McDonald, who is wanted for firearms offences.
McDonald is described as being 5’6″, with a dark complexion and slim build.
In a statement released by the RCIPS on Friday 14 April, a spokesperson advised members of the public to exercise caution if they encounter McDonald.
“He is known to be violent and is believed to be armed and dangerous,” said the RCIPS. “The police are advising that he should not be approached by members of the public, but instead call 9-1-1 upon sighting him.”
Anyone who knows of McDonald’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact the George Town police at 949-4222.
Police are also reminding residents that it is an offence to harbour a wanted person.
“The public is being reminded that according to the Police Act (2021 Revision), it is an offense to obstruct, mislead or act in such a way as to prevent the apprehension of a person who has committed an offense,” said police.
“If prosecuted under this section, you may be liable on conviction to a fine of $5,000 or imprisonment for two years or both.”
