In 2003, Cayman Islands Crisis Centre opened the doors to a private and safe space to shelter victims of domestic abuse. Since then, the need for space has unfortunately grown, and the shelter is in dire need of expansion. Plans for a new home are complete; the land is waiting; and building supplies are being donated, but financial support is required to do the build and outfit the facility appropriately.
As a new means to raise much needed funds, our inaugural Gala will take place on the 27th of May at The Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa Ballroom in “Roaring 20’s” fashion. It’s our twentieth year of service AND we’re in the new 20’s, celebrating Gatsby Style! Guests of our 20th Anniversary Gala are invited to revel the night away in their black tie and flapper-inspired costume while the dancing commences, the libations flow. Truly a feast for the senses, the evening’s entertainment features aerialists, acrobats, dancers, musical performances, live and silent auctions and more. An exclusive 3-course feast will be served and our speakeasy experience offers gala guests access to the prohibition style games, special performances, with elevated libations. CICC is a non-government organization, and we rely on the generosity of private and corporate donations to fund this vital safe haven for victims of domestic and sexual abuse.
