Police investigate armed robbery at Savannah gas station

Shortly after 10pm on Friday, 30 June, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a gas station on Shamrock Road, in the vicinity of Homestead Crescent, Savannah, Bodden Town, according to a press release from the RCIPS.

It was reported that two men entered the gas station store, one armed with a firearm. The man with the firearm guarded the door while the other man proceeded to jump the counter and take money from the cash register.

The men exited the gas station on foot in the direction of a church on Homestead Crescent.

The man with the firearm was described as 6 feet tall, wearing blue pants, black hoody, and white gloves. The man who stole the money was also described as 6 feet tall, wearing a black hoody, white gloves and blue and white pants.

The incident is under investigation and anyone with any information – or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident – is asked to contact Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220.
