
Police have cordoned off an area at the North Side police station after an early morning fire Monday at the Hutland Road compound.
The RCIPS, in a statement Monday, said, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
The incident occurred shortly before 2am.
Officers from the Cayman Islands Fire Service responded to the report of the fire and extinguished the blaze.

Police said no one was inside the building at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.

The area has been cordoned off for safety.
The damage to the building is still being assessed, police told the Cayman Compass.
