The Cayman Islands under-15 boys basketball team returned home Sunday, 6 Aug., after finding success at the TNBA South End of Summer Showdown in Tavares, Florida.
345 Cayman Hoops – the official name of the boys’ team, won two matches at the competition.
“Each individual performed at their best, which allowed the team’s overall performance to be good,” head coach Daniel Augustine told the Compass.
345 Cayman Hoops defeated ZCAMP Elite Black 60-53 and then claimed another victory against TNT Hoop Squad Shields, in a game that finished 43-37.
“All players achieved four to five goals set out by the coaches, hence the success coming together as a team,” Augustine said.
