An early morning fight in the parking lot of a George Town bar led to one man getting arrested and another taken to hospital.

On Sunday, 13 Aug., just after midnight, police responded to a report of a fight at the bar on Shedden Road, west of Vibert Bodden Drive.

The Compass understands the altercation took place close to the Sol Y Luna Restaurant and Lounge.

When they arrived at the scene, officers saw a man bleeding from a cut on his left arm who was being supported by another man.

They gave him first aid until emergency medical services arrived and took over, a police press release said.

While officers were speaking to witnesses at the scene, the man that was holding the injured man, became aggressive towards officers. He was subsequently arrested.

The injured man was taken to Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment. He had surgery on his arm and is now is in a stable condition.
