Police are searching for two men who robbed and assaulted a victim before making off with a generator and power wash machine in an early morning heist.
The incident, police said Friday, happened shortly after 1am on Thursday, but was only reported at shortly after 7:30pm later that day.
The armed robbery took place near the intersection of Rock Hole Road and Mary Street in George Town, police said.
It was reported that shortly after 1am, a grey Honda Fit approached the victim, and the occupants of the vehicle started conversing with the victim.
Police said the vehicle then drove off, returning to the area shortly after.
The passenger then exited the vehicle brandishing a firearm, demanding the generator and power wash machine. After handing over the items to the men, police said they assaulted the victim before driving off.
The passenger of the vehicle was dressed in full black clothing. Both men were wearing masks covering their faces.
