A man snatched a handbag from a woman who was waiting outside the Rubis gas station on Godfrey Nixon Way in George Town on Tuesday, 31 Oct.
Police received a report of the incident just after 8.35pm and were dispatched to the intersection with Eastern Avenue, a press release said.
The woman was standing outside the gas station when the robber approached her and demanded her handbag.
She resisted and the man forced the handbag from her grasp, causing her minor injuries, the press release said. It contained cash and other personal items.
Police described the man as about 5 foot 9 inches tall, of a slim build, and had what was believed to be a Caymanian accent. He was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie.
The man left the location on foot heading in the direction of Washington Boulevard from Godfrey Nixon Way.
