A lone gunman held up a North Side bar Monday night after first trying to rob a patron outside the premises.

Police said the gunman initially accosted a man outside the bar, but was unsuccessful in that robbery attempt.

In a statement issued Tuesday afternoon, police said that just before 9:30pm on 6 Nov., armed officers responded to the report of the robbery of the bar on Frank Sound Road.

It was reported that the man had demanded cash from the employees, before making off on foot with a quantity of cash.

Armed RCIPS officers made checks in the surrounding areas, but did not locate the robber, police said.
