Male skeletal remains found in East End last week are believed to be those of a 20-30 year old man, approximately 5’11” tall.
In an update on the investigation on Thursday afternoon, police said the man was discovered wearing a black top and black jeans with grey Manchester United shorts underneath and black Jordan slippers on his feet.
An “expert anthropologist” is working with health officials to examine the remains in “an attempt to assist the investigation”.
The skeletal remains were found in a secluded mangrove area in East End on 30 Nov.
“Forensic samples have been obtained and are undergoing complex examination and analysis that may assist with identification in the near future,” police said in their statement.
Detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify the man.
They have said enquiries relating to previously reported missing persons are being actively pursued.
Anyone with information regarding the possible identity of the deceased man is encouraged to call the Bodden Town CID at 947-2220.
