The Cayman Islands National Dance Company presented ‘A Gift at Christmas’ along with a variety of artistic performances at Heroes Square, George Town on Friday, 15 Dec.

The event, which the dance company presented in partnership with the Cayman National Cultural Foundation, took the audience on a festive journey with favourite holiday songs performed by musicians, vocalists and exuberant dancers.

The magic of Christmas filled the air as the Philippine Dance Troupe, a non-profit organisation that works to uphold, promote and preserve Philippine culture and heritage in the Cayman Islands, delivered a traditional dance performance.

The National Dance Company took to the stage to spread festive cheer with a number of dances performed to traditional Christmas tunes.

The evening also featured musician and poet Patrick ‘Just P’ Lopez, whose piece captured the essence of Christmas with his unique style, blending poetry with thought-provoking lyrics and soulful rhythms influenced by both R&B and Caribbean music.

In addition, the show included performances by the Cayman Islands Folk Singers, Lorna Reid, cellist Antonio Sanchez, saxophonist Junior Hines, and Spark.

At the end of the evening, attendees joined all performers in singing ‘Feliz Navidad’.
