Family, friends and well-wishers gathered at Owen Roberts International Airport on Sunday, 16 June to bid farewell to Jaci Patrick as she departed for Poland to compete at the 15th Miss Supranational pageant, being held on Saturday, 6 July.
A recent post on the Miss Supranational Cayman Islands Instagram page noted that Patrick, the second representative selected from the Cayman Islands to compete in the pageant, “will spend the next three weeks in Malopolska, Poland for the @misssupranational experience.”

Photos of the beauty queen were shared on the social media page from the airport as Patrick awaited her departure. She wore a red jumpsuit with her crown and sash, showing off the Cayman Islands flag behind her.
“I am honoured for this opportunity to represent my country at the Miss Supranational pageant,” Patrick told the Cayman Compass.
“I am looking forward to sharing our Caymankind culture and pride whilst experiencing the history, culture and hospitality of Nowy SÄ…cz, Malopolska, Poland. This is my second time representing our beloved Cayman Islands in an international pageant and I intend to draw from that experience and all I have [learned] since then.”
She added, “I hope to build upon the foundation created by Melissa Bridgemohan, Cayman’s first Miss Supranational representative, when she competed in the pageant in 2023.”
Patrick, who was appointed the title in March, is no stranger to the pageant world. She was crowned Miss World Cayman Islands 2019-2021.
“Because our pageant is not until October, we elected Jaci to represent Cayman at Miss Supranational this year and we are excited to see the results!” Pamela Ebanks-Small, franchise holder of the pageant told the Compass.
“Jaci will compete in runway, interview, costume, gown and the ‘From the Ground Up’ project. We encourage the Cayman community to support her by following her social media pages and tuning in to the final show,” Ebanks-Small said.
The West Bay native is expected to grace the international stage alongside some 70 contestants from across the world. Ecuador’s Andrea Aguilera will crown her successor at the end of the pageant finale.
As Miss Supranational Cayman, Patrick’s platform focuses on mental health awareness. She has since been engaging in community service programmes that educate the public about the topic and provide support to those who experience mental health issues.

In her official introduction video, Patrick shared insight into her beloved islands, their natural resources, and the journey throughout her reign.
“I am proud of the woman I have become, and I am blessed to be the second representative from the Cayman Islands to participate in the Miss Supranational experience,” she said.
Miss Supranational was first held in 2009. Since its inception, it has developed into one of the most prestigious beauty contests in the world, alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Earth.
Nicosia Lawson, Cayman’s deputy director of the pageant, said, “we had a short time to prep Jaci for Miss Supranational but luckily Jaci has been to an international pageant and, thus, knew what it takes to prepare. Jaci prepped over the last couple of months training on interview skills, and runway modelling.”
While Patrick competes, the local pageant committee said its first local representative, Melissa Bridgemohan, will “continue acting in an official capacity as Miss Supranational Cayman Islands 2023 until our pageant is held in August 2024”, at which point a new titleholder will be named.
