Jaci Patrick paid homage to Cayman’s natural resources with a costume inspired by the islands’ white sand beaches during this year’s staging of the Miss Supranational pageant held in Malopolska, Poland on Saturday, 6 July.
During the national costume segment of the pageant, she took to the stage wearing a towering white costume featuring delicate white wings. The ensemble included a stunning feathered headpiece in silver and white and a beautiful body suit to create an outstanding, angelic form watching over the pristine beaches of the Cayman Islands.

According to an Instagram post shared by the Miss Supranational Cayman Islands organisation, “Sadly, our beaches are being threatened by the trash that washes up on our shores, from near and far. This is reflected in the stunning long train… marred with trash collected from the beach.”
It noted, “It is important that we keep our beaches clean to mitigate the problem caused by ocean debris and the danger that plastic pollution poses to marine life. This is why Jaci Patrick is constantly involved in beach clean ups. A clean beach helps to maintain balance, ensure the survival of various species, and the overall health of their environments.”
Patrick’s costume was created by local fashion designer Reba Dilbert, who won the silver award at the A’ Design Award and Competition in Europe in 2021.

“I was grateful and so proud to be a part of this, to design this costume for Jaci, and to bring quality to the international stage,” Dilbert told the Cayman Compass.
Dilbert said the process took several weeks and much of the detail was done by hand.
“I wanted to ensure that we sent the message of protecting our natural resources, and I think we did,” she said.
Patrick joined some 67 other contestants on stage with costumes that represented their countries and their various platforms. Candidates also competed in runway, interview, gown segments and the ‘From the Ground Up’ project.
Throughout the competition, Patrick wore several designs by Caymanian designers, including Norma Ebanks.
“I am beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to create outfits for Jaci Patrick at Supranational. It is an honor to showcase my designs on such a prestigious platform and to represent my Caribbean roots,” Ebanks told the Compass.
Ebanks said, “My designs for Jaci are inspired by the rich culture and diversity of the Caribbean. Each piece reflects the vibrant colours, intricate patterns, and bold spirit of our region. At the same time, my designs embody elegance and sophistication, celebrating the beauty and grace of a woman.”
Patrick was among several Caribbean beauties shining bright on the international stage. Ultimately, Harashta Haifa Zahra of Indonesia was crowned Miss Supranational 2024. Runners-up included representatives from the United States, Czech Republic, Brazil and Curacao.

“We are proud of Jaci’s performance at Miss Supranational,” Pamela Ebanks-Small, franchise holder of Miss Supranational Cayman told the Compass.
“Jaci was displayed many times throughout the show and was even interviewed live during the finale. Her costume, designed by Reba Dilbert, looked spectacular during the show and Jaci’s top model performance in a dress designed by Norma Ebanks was stunning. Cayman should be very proud.”
‘I am beyond grateful’
Ahead of the competition, Patrick told the Compass she was honoured for the opportunity to represent Cayman. During a live backstage interview of the finals, Patrick said she was “happy” to be at the pageant. Patrick returned to Cayman on 9 July.
“It was such a pleasure to meet so many multifaceted women from all around the world,” Patrick told the Compass.
“I truly value and cherish the friendships I have made with these incredible women. I am so proud of how far we have come. Three weeks of hard work and dedication really paid off to produce an amazing show,” she added.
Patrick, Miss World Cayman Islands 2019-2021, was appointed the Cayman Islands representative for the 2024 Miss Supranational pageant this summer. She is the second representative of the local franchise.
