Fire Services responded to a small electrical fire at Bodden Town Civic Centre on Friday night, the Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service has said.
The matter is currently under investigation.
In a short statement Saturday morning, CBC said that it was notified of a small fire at Bodden Town Civic Center at approximately 6pm on Friday.
“The Cayman Islands Fire Service (CIFS) attended the scene and the issue was resolved with no injuries reported,” it said.
CBC confirmed to the Cayman Compass that a number of Cuban refugees were at the centre at the time of the fire.
