A man pleaded guilty in Grand Court on Friday to possessing a gun that had been converted into an automatic weapon.
Mitchell Chean Ebanks, 55, admitted to possession of a Glock 17 9mm Lugar handgun at an address in West Bay on 30 May this year. The pistol was fitted with an automatic sear – a device that can convert a gun designed to fire one shot per trigger pull into a fully automatic weapon.
Ebanks had earlier pleaded guilty to possession of 29 rounds of ammunition.
He was arrested following a police search of a residence in Rennie Ebanks Road, off North West Point Road, in May.
Justice Cheryll Richards set a sentencing date for Friday, 25 Oct.
