Shortly after midday today, 1 Nov., the RCIPS arrested wanted man Mark Anthony Seymour, 39, following a crash in the vicinity of Grand Harbour.
He had been wanted in connection with violent offences, according to police.
In a press release issued following Seymour’s arrest, the RCIPS said they attempted to stop a vehicle, which didn’t comply and “proceeded to collide into the Grand Harbour roundabout”.
After the crash, “Mark Seymour and one other person exited the vehicle, and a foot chase ensued,” police said.
Officers subsequently located and apprehended Seymour, but the second person evaded capture and is being sought by the police, according to the press release.

At around 12:45pm today, the police helicopter could be seen above the Prospect area searching for the second person.
The car lost its back bumper in the crash and sustained other damage, and oil could be seen leaking from the vehicle.
Ambulances and Cayman Islands Fire Service trucks were also called to the scene.
Seymour has been transported to the detention centre where he remains in custody as investigations continue.
