Two women and a man were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of the murder of a toddler on Cayman Brac two years ago.

The three, two women aged 32 and 26, and a man aged 33, who all reside in Bodden Town, have been detained in custody as inquiries continue, police said in a press release.

The body of Alissady Azalea Powell was found on the shoreline on Cayman Brac on 26 July 2022.

Her mother, Yvane Dixon-Powell, dissatisfied with the police probe into the death, had hired an independent forensic investigator to examine the case.
