A man remains under medical care Sunday morning after he sought help at the George Town Hospital for wounds Saturday evening.
In a statement Saturday night on the incident, police said that just after 6:10pm officers were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Unit after a report of a wounded man at the hospital.
The statement said it was reported that a man with “severe wounds” attended the hospital to be treated for lacerations to the body.
Police said it is believed that his last known location was at a restaurant off Eastern Avenue in George Town.
The restaurant, according to reports reaching the Compass, was cordoned off briefly on Saturday.
Police said, “The man continues to be treated for what appears to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.”
Detectives are seeking the assistance of anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information regarding what took place to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
