Dart has been awarded a major accolade for its hotel portfolio, being named ‘Ownership Group of the Year’ at a ceremony in Monaco.
The honour was given by Forbes Travel Guide, the creator of the world’s only five-star hospitality awards, in collaboration with CBRE Group Inc, a global leader in commercial real estate services and investments.
Three hotels within Dart’s luxury portfolio were again awarded five stars by Forbes Travel Guide in 2025: The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa and Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla.

“To have three resorts managed by three different luxury brands awarded Forbes Travel Guide’s five stars is a distinctive honour,” said Dart director Jackie Doak, who accepted the award at the ceremony.
“It would not be possible without the talent and heart of more than 1,700 hospitality professionals in the Cayman Islands and Anguilla who create extraordinary experiences every day.
“To be named Ownership Group of the Year by Forbes Travel Guide and CBRE is a recognition that we could not have imagined when we entered the luxury hospitality sector less than 10 years ago.”
The presentation was made on Wednesday at ‘The Summit’, an exclusive three-day luxury travel conference, hosted by Forbes Travel Guide, which attracts decision-makers from leading hospitality companies, influential travel professionals and exceptional luxury brands.
The award was presented by Hermann Elger, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide, and Robert Webster, vice chairman and president of CBRE Hotels Institutional Group.
“Dart exemplifies what it means to be an engaged and forward-thinking owner, providing the support and resources needed for their hotels to thrive in an increasingly competitive luxury landscape,” Elger said.
Mark VanDevelde, Dart’s chief executive officer, said they were grateful to Forbes and CBRE for the recognition.
“Driven by our founder Ken Dart’s confidence in the strength of luxury hospitality as an economic engine in the communities it serves, Dart has made a multi-billion-dollar investment in more than 10 hotels in less than 10 years,” VanDevelde said.
In addition to the three hotels awarded five stars, Blue by Eric Ripert at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman was also honoured as the only Forbes five-star restaurant in the Caribbean. The spas at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman and Kimpton Seafire Resort and Spa were awarded five stars, too.
