A machete-wielding raider who struck at a restaurant last Sunday fled empty-handed after his robbery bid failed.

The man, wearing an orange long-sleeved shirt and with a black T-shirt covering his face, demanded cash, but left without receiving any money from staff.

The incident happened at a restaurant in Reverend Blackman Road in West Bay at about 3:30pm.

Police said, “Having not been able to follow through on his demands, the man fled the location.”

The investigation into the incident continues.
