Police are investigating an armed robbery in George Town after a masked man robbed a business on North Sound Road on Saturday evening.
Officers were called to the scene south of the Butterfield roundabout shortly after 5:20pm on 9 Aug. following reports that the man had entered the store carrying what appeared to be a handgun.
According to police, the suspect demanded cash from the employee before fleeing in a vehicle with a pouch containing an undisclosed amount of money.
No shots were fired and no one was hurt during the incident.
A short time later, officers recovered a vehicle on Whitman Seymour Drive matching the description of the one used in the getaway.
The suspect was described as tall and slender, dressed in black pants with a hoodie and mask concealing his face.
