A Cayman financial services professional has been appointed to a top job in the jurisdiction’s branch of an international company.
Lauretta Bennett is now a director at Saffery Trust, based in George Town, part of the London-based international firm’s network of offices.
Bennett had more than 15 years’ experience in the private client sector, specialising in ultra-high net worth family offices, a press release on the appointment said.
“Lauretta will play an active role in the strengthening Saffery Trust’s growing presence in the Cayman Islands and further afield, fostering new relationships and identifying opportunities to enhance the firm’s services,” the release stated.
Lisa Vizia, Saffery Trust group and Cayman director, who is based in Guernsey, added she was delighted to welcome Bennett to the company.
“Her blend of technical precision and relationship-focused service is central to delivering the stability, trust and continuity that our clients rely on and we are confident she will be a valuable asset to both our clients and the wider team,” Vizia said.
The new hire will manage the Cayman-based team alongside fellow director Lee Hart.
Bennett said, “Saffery Trust has certainly made an impact within the industry in Cayman and I was keen to join what is recognised to be a highly experienced and dynamic team.”
She added, “I place a very high value on personal relationships with clients, colleagues and intermediaries alike.
“Saffery Trust’s global reputation for fostering multi-generational relationships reflects my own commitment to being a trusted adviser, working closely with families and their networks to ensure their wealth is preserved, their objectives are met and their legacy endures for generations to come.”
Saffery Trust added Bennett was one of a string of new recruits to the Cayman office of the company, which traces its roots back to a London accountancy firm established 170 years ago.

Jessica Turnbull and Aline Koitzsch-Shaboodien have also been taken on as associate directors recently.
Turnbull, a chartered accountant and certified anti-money laundering and a global sanctions specialist, was hired in a new compliance role.
Koitzsch-Shaboodien, who will work in corporate and shipping, is a member of the Cayman Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has extensive experience in corporate services.
Turnbull said, “I’m excited to work with the team to deliver practical, client-focused compliance solutions that strengthen our overall service offering.”

Koitzsch-Shaboodien added, “From my previous professional experience, I know what good client service looks like from the other side of the fence and I look forward to contributing to Saffery Trust’s ongoing success and delivery of client service excellence.”
Hart said: “Since establishing a presence in the Cayman Islands in 2020, Saffery Trust has continued to invest in growth, innovation and the depth of expertise we offer our clients.
“I am thrilled to welcome Jessica and Aline to the firm and have no doubt that they will strengthen our ability to deliver a first-class service to our individual family and corporate clients.”
