
The Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards took place 28 Jan. at the Biltmore Hotel Mayfair in London, bringing together over 120 of the world’s top wealth advisors and private client experts.
Now in their 15th year, these awards were established to highlight the excellence of the advisors and managers in the private wealth sector within the major International Financial Centres.
The winners were judged by an international panel of practitioners from all sectors and with experience of working with advisors in all the jurisdictions covered.
Cayman received a bronze award for the best International Financial Centre of the Year, which was handed to Julie Campbell, deputy representative for financial services to Europe at the Cayman Islands Government.
Peter Goddard, co-founder of IMG Trust was the winner of the Trustee of the Year – Caribbean award, while the following companies based in the Cayman Islands were also recognised for their outstanding achievements:
- Harneys was awarded Law Firm of the Year – Caribbean with Mourant as runner up.
- HIGHVERN was awarded Company of the Year – Caribbean with Harneys Fiduciary as runner up.
The Citywealth IFC Awards were created by multi award winning Karen Jones, CEO and editor of Citywealth, who founded the company in 2005, over 20 years ago.
