Two upcoming events are designed to help young Caymanians to first secure employment and then thrive in the workforce.

The first, which takes place Thursday, 23 Aug. from 11am to 1pm at the Intergenerational Hub on MacLendon Drive in George Town, is a workshop that focuses on writing cover letters and resumes for prospective employment.

The free workshop is designed to support Caymanian jobseekers, high school graduates, individuals re-entering the workforce and those looking to make a career change. It is open to Caymanians and those holding a Residency and Employment Rights Certificate.

Presenters at the event include Invenio Global co-founder Nikeeta Beri, Conyers Human Resources Manager Keisha Powery-Roberts, Performance Lab Plated owner Kendall Ebanks and AutoShield owner Jonathon Webster. The event will be hosted by Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2023 and iPow Creations founder Ileann Powery.

This seminar will also take place at the Intergenerational Hub on MacLendon Drive in George Town.

Designed for young Caymanians who are new to the workforce or preparing to enter it, the seminar will cover topics such as employee rights, employer responsibilities, entitlements under the law, workplace procedures and best practices.
