A man who died after he went into the sea and failed to resurface has been named as Thorr Emile Nickelson.
Nickelson, 42, of West Bay, was pulled from the water after the Coast Guard was alerted that he was missing in the area of ‘Big Channel’ near Barkers Key in Barkers National Park.
Coast Guard sailors recovered him and carried out CPR as he was brought to shore at Scotts Landing.
He was rushed to the Anthony S. Eden Hospital by ambulance but later pronounced dead by doctors.
