Two armed men robbed another man early Sunday as the victim was returning to his home in George Town, making off with a bag containing an undisclosed sum of cash.
No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.
The robbery was reported at 2.06am Sunday in the Palm Dale section of George Town, according to a news release issued by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service.
Authorities said the male victim, a resident of Palm Dale, reported that upon reaching the exterior of his residence he was approached by two men armed with what appeared to be a handgun and knife. Their faces were covered.
The suspects fled the scene on foot. No descriptions were immediately available.
