Runners – and walkers – take your marks.
The 10th annual Triple C School “Fun in the Sun” walk and run fundraiser is scheduled for 7am on Saturday, 28 January, at the Seven Mile Beach Public Beach in Grand Cayman.
The 5 kilometre walk and run is open to the public and participants of all ages. The course will see runners and walkers head north along the beach or along the road to Foster’s Food Fair in West Bay. Participants will then return south to the starting point at Seven Mile Public Beach.
Registration is $20 and includes a T-shirt for the first 100 participants.
Money raised will be used to help supply each classroom and teacher with educational and playground resources. The goal is to raise more than $12,000.
“There will be lots of prizes, which will be drawn to reward both registered walkers and sponsored walkers,” said Nathania Mayers, development and human resources assistant at Triple C School in George Town. “Refreshments will be provided and there will be manned water stops along the route. Everyone is invited, not just Triple C families. Why not start your day with a fun, relaxing exercise with the family?”
