Getaway car was later found abandoned

Police have released on bail a 25-year-old man arrested in connection with Thursday’s armed robbery of Scotiabank. 

The man was arrested on suspicion of robbery in George Town on Friday, 4 May.  

He was released on police bail as enquiries continue, police said. 

Three masked men held up the bank on Cardinall Avenue around 11.45am Thursday. Two were believed to be carrying firearms.  

A getaway car used in the robbery was later found abandoned.

  1. He’s a very lucky’ man to be out on bail….police bail too. I have known of persons less associated with crimes to be refused bail for months!!!! yes, there are ‘circumstances’ I may not be aware of but so quickly, really?????
