Police prisoner escapes hospital

Update: Escaped Prisoner now in police custody.

Update: Jeremy  Claston Holness, the 30-year-old man who escaped from police custody yesterday Thursday 19th July 2012, has been arrested and is back in the police cells.
 
Holness escaped from his police guard at the Cayman Islands Hospital about 12:30pm on Thursday, 19th July 2012.
 
He was arrested this evening, Friday 20th July, following a police operation at School House Road George Town. He was arrested on suspicion of escaping lawful custody.
 

Police have released the name and a picture of a man who
escaped from police custody earlier today.

Jeremy Claston Holness, aged 30,  escaped from
his police guard at the Cayman Islands Hospital around 12.30pm today (Thursday,
19 July 2012).

Holness had been arrested yesterday ( Wednesday, 18 July) on
suspicion of burglary. He was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital in George
Town earlier today when he complained of feeling unwell.

He is described as being 5’11”
in height, weighing 185lbs. He has a light brown
complexion, brown eyes and, although his head is shaven at present, his natural
hair colour is black. He is not believed to
be a danger to the public. However, anyone who sees this man, or knows of his
present whereabouts, is urged to contact their nearest police station.

  1. It does seem strange that ‘prisoners’ find it easier to ‘escape’ during during Easter and Summer breaks……. got overtime pay ready? check it out, over past 15 years, I only remember majority of escapes occurring during those periods.

    Not a threat??? smh a prisoner supposedly made a choice to run away and will not be a threat?
