Authorities in Grand Cayman have announced a number of road closures to be observed during Pirates Week festivities scheduled to begin Thursday, 8 November and continue through Saturday, 10 November.
According to a news release issued by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, the following road closures will take place between 5pm and 11pm on Thursday and Friday:
Elgin Avenue at Sheddon Road;
Harbour Drive at Fort Street;
Boilers Road at South Church Street;
Cardinal Avenue.
The following roads will be closed beginning at noon on Saturday for the Pirates landing and street dance celebrations:
Memorial Avenue at South Church Street;
Boilers Road at Walkers Road;
North Church Street at Mary Street;
Sheddon Road at Mary Street;
Elgin Avenue at Sheddon Road;
Fort Street at Mary Street;
Elgin Avenue at Hospital Road;
Hospital Road at Walkers Road.
